Jam Kamal says Muhammad Waseem is a role model for youngsters associated with other sports in Balochistan; assures wholehearted cooperation to promote sports

 

QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan honoured the boxing hero belonging to the province, Muhammad Waseem during meeting with him here at the CM’s secretariat on Monday.

Also present on the occasion to greet the boxing star were the Provincial Ministers Mir Muhammad Arif Jan Muhammad Hassani, Mir Naseebullah Marri, spokesman of Government of Balochistan, Liaquat Shahwani and other concerned.
Talking to the Chief Minister, the boxer Muhammad Waseem expressed his resolve to continue the process of his victories in the international boxing arena.
He also vowed to struggle for winning the first slot in the international flyweight category.
Muhammad Waseem on the occasion mentioned that he is the first ever Pakistani boxer to have the title.
The Chief Minister called Muhammad Waseem as pride of Balochistan. It is a matter of pride for us that Muhammad Waseem belongs to Balochistan.
He said that the provincial government would continue to extend wholehearted cooperation to promote sports in the province. The role of boxing clubs would be made more effective in the province,  adding he assured.
Moreover, steps would also be taken for promotion of boxing in the province so that the local boxers continue to earn laurels for the province and country at national and international level, he assured.
The Chief Minister termed victory of Muhammad Waseem as a good example for youth associated with other sports in the province.
He said that Boxer Muhammad Waseem is a role model for youth of the province.
He announced Rs. 500,000 as cash reward for Muhammad Waseem. He also gave away the commemorative shield and other gifts to the young boxer. He also expressed best wishes for him.
