Agriculture sector being put on modern lines enabling to play part in economic Dev: CM

Jam Kamal says modern technology to be utilized to achieve goal of development in agriculture sector


The Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has stated that the agriculture department is being put on modern lines on the priority basis so that this sector could play its key role in overall economic development of the province.

This, he stated while addressing the review meeting for implementation on the development projects of the Agriculture Engineering Wing here on Wednesday.

The secretary Agriculture, Qambar Dashti and other concerned high ups were in attendance at the meeting.

The secretary Agriculture briefed the Chief Minister about implementation on the development projects of agriculture sector and their pace of work.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that there is a dire need to put the agriculture sector on modern lines bringing it at par so as to meet the modern day requirements in future.

Therefore, it is unavoidable to utilize the modern technology, adding he stressed.

He said that the modern technology would be utilized for acquiring the goal of development in the agriculture sector.

He said that the increasing demand of food can also be met easily by using the modern machinery. Moreover, the losses caused following flash-flood can also be compensated on the other hand, he observed.

He said that the government is giving priority to such development projects which develop the real concept of public welfare as a whole.

The Chief Minister on the occasion also announced to use the means of modern farming including the Drip irrigation tunnel system so as to put the agriculture sector on modern lines.

He assured that all the development projects including the Green Tractor and Tunnel farming would be completed well in time.
