Dr. Shoaib Suddle calls on Jam Kamal: Effective surveillance system for safety of religious places of minorities being set up

Chief Minister says provincial Govt. committed to fully protect rights of minorities and resolve their problems

 

The Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has categorically stated that the government is committed to protect rights of the minorities living in the province besides resolving their issues.

He said that the effective system of surveillance for safety of religious places of the minorities in the province.

This and similar other views were expressed by the Chief Minister while speaking to the head Commission formed for protection of rights of minorities, Dr. Shoaib Suddle, who called on him here on Wednesday.

Also present in the meeting were the Chief Secretary Balochistan, Captain ® Fazeel Asghar and Parliamentary Secretary for Minorities Affairs, Dhanesh Kumar.

Dr. Shoaib, who has also served as the Inspector General of Police in Balochistan, informed the Chief Minister about functioning of the Commission he heads. He also apprised him about the protection of minorities’ rights and interests.

The Chief Minister said that the present provincial government is taking steps for protection of the rights of minorities and their welfare.

He said that effective system of surveillance is being brought for the religious places of minorities in the province.

Similarly, a separate department for minorities affairs and protection of their rights has also been set up.

This department would only deal with the issues of minorities besides protecting their due rights in the province, he maintained.

He also assured to implement the quota allocated for minorities in the government jobs so as to ensure their rights.
