Chief Minister takes aerial view of snow-hit areas of Kolpur, Lakpass, Quetta

Jam Kamal directs to ensure access to rain and snow affected areas; allows authorities to use provincial Govt.’s helicopter for rescue and relief activities

The Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan took an aerial view of the snow-hit areas of the province on Monday.

During the aerial view, he inspected the highways and roads affected during the heavy snowfall in Kolpur, Lakpass and Quetta city suburbs.

The provincial Ministers Mir Ziaullah Langove, Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa, Commissioner Quetta, Usman Ali Khan and Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Imran Zarkoon were also accompanied to the Chief Minister Balochistan during the aerial inspection of the snow-hit areas of the province.

The Chief Minister on the occasion directed to the concerned high ups to ensue access to all the areas affected due to the snowfall and raining in the province and as such provide necessary relief go the people there.

He also directed to the authorities to use the helicopter of provincial government for relief operation to be carried out in remote areas of the province.

Later, the Chief Minister visited eastern bypass and Brewery road the same day and reviewed the situation there as well.

He also met the people protesting against non-availability of Sui gas and electricity on Brewery road, who apprised him about the hardships they are facing due to electricity and gas crisis in the severe cold following heavy snowfall in Quetta.

The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the problems of people of the area and said that every citizen has the right to get electricity and gas.

He assured that the Sui Southern Gas Company and QESCO authorities would be made bound to resolve the issues at the earliest.

The people were appreciative of the behavior of the Chief Minister.
