CM says no sector ignored in the development process during two and half years; pledges to provide every possible relief to masses in next budget


A high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan reviewed the preparations for the next Financial Year’s budget 2021-22, a compilation of the multidimensional data through Geographical Information System (GIS) as well as the tracking and monitoring of the development schemes, here on Wednesday.

Those who were in attendance at the meeting were included: Provincial Ministers Mitha Khan Kakar and Muhammad Khan Toor Utmankhail, Chief Secretary, Mathar Niaz Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development, Abdul Saboor Kakar, Secretary Culture, Secretary Mines and Minerals, Secretary Livestock, Secretary Information, Director General Public Relations and other concerned high ups.

The ACS Development briefed the meeting about the ongoing and new development schemes, authorization of funds, 105 priority schemes, PSDP timeline 2021-22 and PSDP strategy for the next financial year besides other related matters.

He informed that the concept papers of the schemes would be prepared before preparation of the PC-I of all the development schemes.

He also briefed the meeting about the district profile, development schemes of the last two and half years as well as the federal PSDP and southern Balochistan development package.

Moreover, the meeting was also briefed by the Chief Minister Delivery Unit about the better tracking and monitoring of the development schemes.

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that we had not ignored any sector in the development process during the last two and half years and our next budget would also be comprehensive.

He said that the general public would be provided every possible relief in the next budget.

He also stressed the need to prepare concept papers prior to the approval of the PC-I of all the development schemes and comprehensive planning would be made as per the requirements and suitability of the areas.

Similarly, he directed to make the system of digital monitoring of the development schemes on the basis of population and their needs.

He on the occasion directed the DGPR to launch a full-fledged awareness campaign to highlight the government initiatives in different sectors.

In this regard, special documentaries should also be prepared for public awareness on the performance of the government and automation system, he directed further.
