  • Provincial Cabinet approved that the financial powers of Divisional Development Working Party (DDWP) enhanced from Rs50.00 million to Rs100.00 million for the schemes coordinated through Divisional Commissioners.
  • The Chief Minister’s District Development Plan – 2nd Phase was approved at a total cost and allocation of Rs.4950.00 million, in addition to 1st phase.
  • The revised criteria for the new programme were also approved by the Provincial Cabinet with the following amendment that in case of solar home systems, minimum cluster of houses will be five (05), instead of ten (10) and minimum thrush hold of a scheme should not be less than Rs.1.0 million.
  • The identification of schemes under “District Development Programme” will be made through District Development Committee (DDC), headed by the Deputy Commissioner of the respective district. The Planning & Development Department was allowed to notify the District Development Committee (DDC) as soon as possible. The identified lists from DDC will be placed before the Provincial Cabinet for approval. The approved lists will be placed before DDWP forum for sanction.
