The Balochistan Chief Minister, Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has said that health authorities should immediately contact the Federal government for not providing testing kits and other equipment to the province, which affects measures to fight the second wave of the Corona-virus that emerged with the passage of time.

Presiding over a high level meeting here on Tuesday, he said that the people were not taking the danger of the second wave of Covid-19 in the province, which could increase the deadly virus in the province.

The meeting reviewed the overall situation of Covid-19 in the province and measures taken by the health and other concerned institutions in the province to deal with the corona situation in Balochistan. The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the concerned authorities so far to fight against the virus.

The Secretary Health Noor-Ul-Haq Balochistan briefed the meeting about the Covid-19 situation, implementation of proactive measures and increasing testing capacity of the virus. Other officials also informed the meeting about their responsibilities and implementation of it.

Chief Minister, Jam Kamal Khan said that due to non-serious attitude of the people, resulting in less implementation on the proactive measures, which could affect the people in Balochistan. Official sources said that the meeting has decided that wearing of face mask should be strictly insured in all government offices. “Testing of capacity of Coronavirus should be increased in Quetta and other towns and cities of the province,” Mr. Alyani directed health authorities and added that strictly implement of the SOPs issued by the concerned authorities in view of second wave of the Covid-19. He also directed that steps should be taken for creating awareness among the people.

Provincial Minister, Haji Muhammad Khan Tour Utmankhel, parliamentary secretaries Dr. Rababa Buledi, Danesh Kumar, Inspector General Police Mohsin Hassan Butt, Secretary Health Noor-ul-Haq Baloch, representative of the Southern Command and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
