Ground breaking of Women Hostel: Financial management, planning essential for projects, says CM

Jam Kamal says Government endeavoring to put province on path of development getting away from conventional approach, says we want development of province to be in interest of people

The Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has stated that the provincial government is endeavoring to put the province on path of development getting away from the conventional approach.

He said that the government is also working to meet the socio-economic requirements of the people through reforms, legislation and planning.

He believed that the financial management and planning is essential for completion of the development projects.

This and similar views, Jam Kamal expressed while addressing the ground breaking ceremony of the working women hostel, bazaar and Incubation center in the Mian Ghundi area on Quetta-Sibi road on Wednesday.

The Provincial Minister Finance, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Mir Muhammad Khan Lehri and other concerned high ups were present at the ceremony.

The project would be completed at cost of Rs. 600 million.

The Chief Minister maintained that our province is rich in mineral and natural resources, we have to utilize them in best manner. He said that we want such development, which is in the larger interest of people of the province and they (people) are benefitted from it.

He underlined the need to bring improvement in performance of the government institutions as there are certain weaknesses in them, which were never addressed in the past.

He said that we are paying attention on development of all sectors in the province. Moreover, we are also focusing on the women development.

Nevertheless, the women are direly in need of the opportunities to move ahead. We are extending the opportunities to womenfolk to progress and excel in their respective sectors they are working in, he maintained.

Jam Kamal strongly believed that there is also a need to provide healthy environment in the urban areas of the province mainly in the cities.

He mentioned that we have already initiated work on 70 percent development projects in the province.

Referring the hostel for working women he performed groundbreaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that we have planned to construct hostels for women in all divisions of the province.

He on the occasion spelled out initiatives particularly in the health and education sectors too. He said that improvement is being brought about in health and education sectors.

He said that there is a need to make investment in each and every sector in the province.

Referring the civic issues of Quetta, Jam Kamal said that the city has become congested, therefore, there is a need to expand it making better planning for it.

He said that the necessary funds would be provided to bring improvement in overall situation.

Earlier, the Chief Minister unveiled the plaque of the projects. He also directed the concerned quarters to make some amendments in design of the projects.

The Provincial Minister Finance, Mir Zahoor Buledi also addressed the ceremony.

The Secretary Women Development, Ms. Saira Ata briefed about the projects to be executed by the department.
