Balochistan gets 16,000 more doses of the anti-corona vaccine
CM Jam Kamal says vaccination extremely important to defeat corona; calls for wholehearted awareness drive
The federal government has provided 16,000 more doses of the anti-coronavirus vaccine to Balochistan. With the arrival of the new consignment of the anti-corona vaccine, the process of registration of 65 age plus persons has been started for the vaccination in the province.
The province would get some 0.9 million doses of the vaccine for the prevention of coronavirus by June 30, 2021.
This and similar other information was shared in a high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan, here on Wednesday.
The Chief Secretary, Mathar Niaz Rana, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Zahid Saleem, Secretary Services and General Administration Department, Bilal Jamali, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs and Head of Balochistan Command and Operation Center, Imran Gichki and other concerned high ups were in attendance at the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized that vaccination is extremely essential to overcome coronavirus. He said that the nation has covered a long distance to cope with the challenge of COVID-19.
He said that no doubt it was a big challenge for the world to tackle the pandemic of coronavirus.
The Chief Minister said that we were able to control the COVID through the data compilation, mutual coordination and timely decisions made in this regard.
He on the occasion appreciated the steps taken by the provincial Health Department, BCOC and other concerned organizations for the prevention of the coronavirus in the province.
He also directed to launch a wholehearted awareness campaign regarding anti-coronavirus vaccination all over the province.
Earlier, the meeting was provided a detailed briefing about the data compilation of the COVID-19, forecasting methodology, vaccination management and registration process.
It was informed that 98 percent of patients of with coronavirus have been recovered in the province. The cases of coronavirus are reporting in single-digit daily, it was further informed.
Moreover, it was also informed that the vaccination of 1033 health workers has been done so far in the province.
