We need to prepare strategy to ensure posting of civil servants on merit: CM

Jam Kamal Khan stresses need to enable provincial Govt. Departments to generate revenue at their own


A representative delegation of Balochistan Civil Service (BCS) and Balochistan Secretariat Service (BSS) Officers Association called on the Chief Minister, Jam Kamal Khan here on Friday.

The participants of delegation apprised Chief Minister about the issues regarding transfers and postings of the officers and requested him to resolve the same.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that reforms are unavoidable to bring changes in all provincial government departments as per the requirements of the time as such we have to enable them (departments) to generate their revenue at their own and thus make their effective role in the province, adding he stressed.

The Chief Minister also said that the capacity of the officers would increase with their training and the province would benefit from the services of talented officers. This would also enhance the overall performance of the departments by approving good and talented officers there, adding he believed.

He also the present provincial government would surely endeavour to its best to post best officers in the departments so as to run their affairs more effectively.

Jam Kamal Khan also said that Balochistan is our future. This is such a beautiful gift bestowed by Allah that we could resolve the issue of unemployment utilizing their resources on one hand and the province would progress and prosper on the other hand, he maintained.

The Chief Minister said that decentralization of the departmental affairs would also help improve their performance.

He said that we need to prepare such a strategy under which the officers are posted on merit. He said that various proposals would be discussed to increase their capacity further.
