Minister Petroleum, Dy Speaker NA meet: Sui gas and electricity issues to be resolved in Balochistan, Omar Ayub assures to CM

 

Jam Kamal says his government chalked out comprehensive policy to develop immense mineral and natural resources

 

The Federal Minister for Power and Petroleum Omar Ayub Khan and senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jahangir Khan Tareen called on the Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan here on Thursday.

Also accompanied with them were the Deputy Speaker of National Assembly, Qasim Khan Suri and Advisor to Prime Minister for Petroleum, Nadeem Babar.

During the meeting, the matters regarding electricity and gas were discussed threadbare.

There was also discussion on the mutual cooperation between the federation and province in different sectors.

Moreover, in the meeting, the participants also agreed to mobilize all the available resources for development of Balochistan.

The federal Minister and other representatives of the federation assured of wholehearted cooperation of the federal government for development of mineral sector in the province.

The Minister Petroleum and Power assured to resolve the issue of low gas pressure in the province.

He also assured to change the outdated gas pipelines and resolve the issue of power load shedding in the province.

Earlier, speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Allah Almighty has blessed the province with immense natural resources, however, the same could not be exploited fully due to lack of clear policy in this regard.

He said that the present provincial government has prepared a comprehensive policy for development of the mineral resources.

Several projects have also been included in the annual development programme for development of the natural resources, adding he mentioned.
