A high level meeting chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan reviewed the progress of ongoing development projects under the Department of Communications and works  , Sports Department and Balochistan Coastal Development Authority. It has been decided to release funds to the projects of winter areas on priority basis. The initiative is aimed at completing as much work as possible on development projects in these areas before the winter slack season, which will save time and not delay the projects. During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed to  hold regular meetings of the Planning and Development Department and the Department of Communications and Works to approve new development projects  and to address the slowdown in the process of authorization and disbursement of funds. Chief minister  during  the meeting also directed to complete the preliminary work of the new projects by the end of September this year and start regular work from October, Director General BCDA Babar Khan apprised the progress of the new projects under the authority in the current financial year. He  Informed  that for the first time development plans are being made for the promotion of tourism activities on the long coastline of the province, the completion of which will enable the coastal areas of the province to attract the attention of local and foreign tourists.  projects include master  planning of coast line promotion of eco-tourism, construction of fish landing jetties, commencement of beach and sports activities, establishment of rest areas on coastal highways, plantations, establishment of beach parks and resorts at various locations. He said that all these projects are of important and unique nature for which the services of international consultants have been sought. Expressing his views on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that since the beginning of tourism activities in the coastal areas of Balochistan ,at the international level, the province’s socio-economic image will emerge and employment opportunities as well as the province’s income will increase, which will lead to prosperity, he said, adding that its excellent geographical location includes long beaches, wide mountains and   desert and the region with different seasons can be a center of tourism activities The importance of which has unfortunately not been realized in the past. The present government has provided significant development funds by fully activating the inactive BCDA and soon this authority has become self-reliant. Will be the basis for increasing the revenue of the province. The Chief Minister directed to develop residential projects to partner with the private sector under PPP mode and to attract people to the coastal areas. The Chief Minister also said that the beaches of Gadani, Kund Malir, Miani oar and Ormara Pasni, Gwadar and jiwani are for individuality which needs to be brought to the notice of the world. He also directed BCDA to hold a seminar in Karachi for awareness of the investors regarding tourism opportunity in Balochistan
